Dana Hamric founded Hamric Capital in 2010 and currently serves as its President & CEO. He has over 25 years of healthcare, real estate and capital markets experience through all business cycles and is considered a thought leader in the United States to the physician and healthcare provider community. Dana’s team has completed over $7 billion in transactions.

Dana has a passion to serve physicians and providers, their administration and their organizations by providing leadership, strategy and execution in the areas of growth, capital and real estate. He has served some of the largest, most successful and fastest-growing independent physician practices, healthcare providers and institutional investors in the U.S.

He previously served as Senior Managing Director of Global Healthcare Services at Newmark Knight Frank (NASDAQ: NMRK), which is an affiliate of Cantor Fitzgerald, where he led national business development for the firm’s U.S. healthcare capital markets business. In that capacity, he led and grew a team that advised medical practices, health systems, institutional investors and developers across a range of services, regulatory environments and market conditions from 2012 to 2020. The advisory work focused on all aspects of growth, alignment, capital strategy and healthcare real estate. Specifically, his advisory services included strategic planning, outpatient portfolio strategy, value-add asset optimization, cost reduction consulting, capital deployment, monetization strategy, investment sales, development advisory, location intelligence and lease advisory.

Dana started his career in Atlanta, Georgia with Univest Holdings, a private real estate firm focused on value-add investments and development. During his 10 year tenure, he directly managed a portfolio of real estate investments which included medical office, retail, office, mixed-use and land development projects in the Southeastern U.S. His responsibilities included investment strategy, asset management, acquisitions, construction management, development, financing, leasing, property management and dispositions.

David Ruggiero currently serves as Vice President – Investments for Hamric Capital.  He has over 30 years of healthcare, real estate and capital markets experience working in various roles including investment management, capital markets and advisory and real estate investment banking.  With extensive experience in acquiring, underwriting and valuing medical real estate, his strategic approach to property-level economics, portfolio management and capitalization strategies has contributed toward the successful execution of over $5 billion of healthcare real estate transactions encompassing over 10 million square feet.

Prior to joining Hamric Capital, David served as Vice President of Acquisitions for National Healthcare Properties, where he led the acquisitions effort and sourced and executed over $500 million in medical office properties nationwide.  Prior to that, David served as a Managing Director of Global Healthcare Services at Newmark Knight Frank, where he worked closely with Dana to help grow the healthcare capital markets business.  Prior to Newmark, David worked as a Senior Vice President at Savills Studley in the Investment Sales group and at Goldman Sachs in the Investment Banking Division with a focus on investment real estate transactions.

David earned his M.S. in Finance and his B.A. in Economics from DePaul University.

Richard Gerakitis has worked in the healthcare sector for 15 years and served some of the largest, most successful and fastest-growing independent physician practices, healthcare providers and institutional investors in the U.S.  His primary focus is in the healthcare capital markets space where he has advised on $500 million in complex real estate transactions. 

Prior to joining Hamric Capital, Richard worked for the healthcare capital markets group at Newmark (NASDAQ: NMRK).  In that role, he advised multiple medical practices, developers and investors on real estate strategy, lease optimization, dispositions and capital markets execution from 2015-2023.  

Richard also has a background in healthcare policy from his time serving as a Legislative Aide in the United States Senate.  He handled federal healthcare policy for 5 years, gaining a working knowledge of program language and the regulatory issues facing provider groups today.  He also developed his financial background while working at the Southern Company (NYSE: SO), one of the largest energy providers in the United States.  Richard held multiple roles as both a budget analyst and within the treasury department.   

Richard earned a Masters in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia.

Phil Mahler currently serves as Managing Director at Hamric Capital. He is one of the most experienced and tenured healthcare real estate leaders in the United States. Phil has over 30 years of experience in healthcare capital markets and institutional real estate experience spanning across a range of regulatory environments and business cycles. He has completed over $5 billion in capital markets transactions for some of the most successful institutional healthcare real estate investors and healthcare providers in the U.S.

Phil’s experience spans principal investing, brokerage, asset management, and advisory services for leading healthcare systems and a broad range of healthcare providers. He has worked closely with senior leadership teams to develop and execute investment strategies, including advising on national platforms focused on single and multi-tenant medical real estate assets across the United States.

Prior to joining Hamric Capital, Phil held senior-level positions at TopMed Realty, Savills, HFF, Hammes Partners, and Royal Oak Realty Trust, where he played a key role in shaping and executing medical real estate investment and advisory strategies. Earlier in his career, he served as a Senior Manager in the Real Estate Capital Markets Group at Ernst & Young and worked with UBS Realty Investors and ProLogis, further strengthening his capital markets and institutional real estate expertise.

Bharathi Gummadi serves as Vice President - Physician Services for Hamric Capital.  She has over 16 years of executive healthcare leadership and clinical operations experience with a proven track record of scaling physician practices, developing healthcare real estate, and leading complex strategic transactions.

Prior to joining Hamric Capital, Bharathi served as Chief Operating Officer of the Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida, where she played a pivotal role in transforming the organization from a single-building practice into a leading multi-site cardiovascular platform. During her tenure, the practice achieved a 10x increase in EBDITA, 8x increase in providers, 12x growth in revenue, and 10x growth in personnel. She oversaw more than 200 employees and led initiatives spanning revenue cycle management, clinical integration, operational optimization, and strategic growth.

Bharathi guided the organization through two private equity evaluations and one successful transaction, ensuring strategic alignment and disciplined due diligence throughout the process. In partnership with private equity leadership, she spearheaded the launch of a de novo 30-provider cardiology platform across 10 locations within a six-month timeframe. Her experience also includes the successful development, asset management and monetization of a range of physician-owned real estate  assets including medical office buildings, surgery centers, outpatient lab, cardiac rehab facility and an outpatient medical campus.

Her operational leadership extends to technology implementation and compliance initiatives, including successful EMR conversion, healthcare platform integrations, and implementation of the MIPS program, resulting in over $500,000 annually in CMS bonus payments for more than a decade.

In addition to her healthcare leadership, Bharathi has been actively involved in large-scale development and advisory projects, including serving on a construction committee overseeing a $100 million mixed-use tower development and collaborating on medical office development projects in multiple markets.

Bharathi holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and is currently pursuing her Executive MBA at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management (expected 2027).

She is based in Ocala, Florida. A wife and mother, she enjoys travel, history, art, architecture, and exploring how communities evolve over time. Her professional motto: We get it done.

As a Director at Hamric Capital, Jonathan is a healthcare capital markets real estate advisor specializing in the monetization of physician-owned real estate nationwide. He advises physicians, physician groups, and healthcare organizations on complex real estate strategies designed to unlock value, preserve clinical control, and align long-term financial outcomes.

Over the course of his career, Jonathan has advised on more than $350 million in healthcare real estate transactions spanning multiple physician specialties, asset types, and geographic markets across the United States. His experience includes medical office buildings, ambulatory-focused assets, and other physician-aligned real estate, with a particular emphasis on investment sales and structured transactions.

A core focus of his advisory work is helping physicians evaluate and execute real estate monetization strategies, including structuring tax-efficient sales, aligning real estate decisions with practice M&A activity, and assessing opportunities to retain ownership or participate in future upside while achieving liquidity.

In addition to his brokerage experience, Jonathan previously served as a Senior Market Intelligence Analyst, advising senior leadership of a publicly traded national retailer on high-impact real estate decisions fundamental to long-term growth strategy. This background sharpened his analytical approach and ability to deliver data-driven insights that inform executive-level decision-making.
